I have led life as an entrepreneur, inventor and now recent writer. In 1958 aged 18 I emigrated to Australia by boat for £10 as an assisted emigrant from the UK. Two years later I returned overland over 16,000 miles by car from Sri-Lanka to the UK to become involved in the media businesses of advertising and entertainment, including movies and later in video purchasing and retailing. Retiring aged 45 to sail around the Med and the Caribbean seas for several years I started up a new business in the USA in 1993 which created the world’s first Internet TV as a social media product, launching it in 1996 in Las Vegas. Having lived in Melbourne, Paris, New York, Los Angeles, Ibiza, Scotland and London, I now live in the Algarve in southern Portugal with my present wife and several dogs where I returned to my student interests of history and philosophy and decided to try my hand at writing. The Royal Secret is my debut novel. I have an extended family of four adult children by three mothers and have nine grandchildren. My past interests included travel, ski-ing and yachting.
